Visitors - When and Where

PADDLE PAST CANCER

NO PADDLING THURSDAY 10/19
The wind advisory continues through tomorrow, with higher winds than today. So paddling is canceled tomorrow, you can sleep in.
Hopefully it will be our beautiful Maui weather by next Tuesday .

We invite all survivors and their supporters to paddle with Mana'olana as a visiting member to see how you like Hawaiian Outrigger Paddling and the Pink Experience.

WHEN:

We paddle every Tuesday and Thursday morning.  We can only take approximately 8 visitors each day, so get there early.

We suggest you be at our beach no later than 7:45 am to sign in, and get your paddle and instructions.  Sign ups close at 8 am and we often have more visitors than we can accommodate so get there early.

Paddling instructions begin at 8:00 AM sharp, and if you are not ready you can not paddle that day... so set your alarm clock!

We launch at 8:20 and return at 9:30 am, wash our canoes, have coffee and talk story so plan to stay until about 10:30 to play!

Mana'olana is located with Maui Canoe Club at Sugar Beach in North Kihei, Maui. (Just north of Sugar Beach Condominiums (300 N. Kihei Rd). Watch for the pink and red, white, and blue canoes.

Mana’olana meets under the Pink Paddle on the tree in the middle of the Club...Just look for all the Pink Shirts!

We paddle in safe double-hull canoes captained by a certified steers person and strong, experienced Mana’olana  paddlers so survivors don't need to be strong to paddle.  If you can't paddle come ride!

Once on the water, we take part in an exciting adventure in the canoe as we paddle together to improve physical and mental strength, to make new friends, to overcome fear, and to encourage and learn from one another.

Half way through our paddle we lawa (stop) to rest, chant, pray, sing, laugh and learn together as we find hope and enjoy the beauty and culture of the Hawaiian Islands.

After about an hour we paddle back, wash our canoes, and share coffee and treats, and “talk story” to enjoy, empower, and be in community with each other.
